Rating System

I review books based on the five star rating system. I have chosen to only go by whole star rating and avoid using half-star notations. You can find my personal definitions of each star rating below.

Five (5) Stars: This book changed my life. I feel like I am a different person for having read it. I would recommend it hands down, all the time, without a doubt. Words cannot describe how much I love this book. It is most likely one of my favorite books I've read.

Four (4) Stars: I really liked this book but there were a few things that just didn't do it for me. However, I would still recommend this book. If it's part of a series you can be sure that I will be picking up the rest of the books in that series.

Three (3) Stars: This book was pretty good. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. There are parts of the book that I thought could have been done better but they didn't detract enough for me to dislike the book. I wouldn't not recommend it, but it wouldn't be the first book I tell people about.

Two (2) Stars: I did not like this book. The flaws were just too much to overlook and detracted from my enjoyment of the story. I would most likely not recommend this book to other people. If it's part of a series the odds are not in the favor of me finishing the series.

One (1) Stars: I strongly disliked this book and may not have even finished it. I would definitely not recommend it and if it is part of a series, I will not be reading the rest of the books.
