Christmas 2014 Book Haul

If I'm being perfectly honest this Christmas wasn't particularly bookish but I wasn't at all disappointed. I received a lot of wonderful non-book related presents from my family that I would never have bought for myself which is why they left the book buying to me. My parents did however, buy me a new Nook GlowLight which I really appreciated. I have definitely noticed a difference in terms of weight and page turn speed compared to my old Nook Simple Touch. Other than that, I bought myself the actual books that you see above.

Overall, I'm really happy with my Christmas haul. All the books are ones I've wanted to read (or in the case of A Wrinkle in Time, reread) so I think I'm pretty set for the new year. October 2014 Book Haul

This month I almost managed to acquire a book for every day of the month, but alas, I was about six books short. That's probably better in the long run for my wallet. A combination of my birthday, a used book sale on my college campus, and the Boston Book Festival all added up to what I think is the biggest book haul for any one month so far this year. June 2014 Book Haul

Compared to last month, I barely got any books this month -- only six. I bought The Murder Complex, The Silkworm, and The Diviners from Barnes & Noble (conveniently using coupons that they sent me) and I got Cracked Up to Be and The Wright 3 from the used book sale at my local library. The book I'm most excited about, Landline by Rainbow Rowell, was a last minute and unexpected addition!

Summer Reading Library Haul

What is the first thing a book lover do when she gets home from college for the summer? Go to the library of course! I put most of these books on hold before getting home so that I could just pick them up. They're all books that I've been wanting to read, some of which I borrowed from the public library in my college town but never got around to reading. Now that it's summer, I'm really hoping to do a lot of reading. I've already read The Bitter Kingdom by Rae Carson and now I'm currently reading a couple of review books but then it's straight to the library stack!
